Security and document access is core to eCharta. We understand that security and reliability are important aspects of any digital document management system. Secure and reliable functioning of these real-time systems is of paramount concern and a core philosophy.
Our state-of-the-art Data Center utilizes a Carrier Class Level Three facility that guarantees 99.9% up time with the following security measures in place:
In addition, our Data Center offers double and triple redundancy on all communications systems. We are not reliant on any one provider for connection to the Internet, thus eliminating any single point of failure. We have access to seven independent fiber carriers, including AT&T, Pacific Bell, WorldCom, Time Warner, Level 3, XO and ICG. Two separate fiber vaults feed the Data Center. All fiber enters the facility via two divergent routes and into a secure fiber POP (Point of Presence). Each OC48 Fiber optic connection at our Data Center is capable of transferring data at 2.488 Gbps, connecting directly into the 6 largest backbones on the Internet. While most Internet Service Providers use Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) technology to determine the best route for traffic over the Internet, DCPi's data center utilizes a self-healing IP network that solves congestion and latency issues common to standard BGP routed backbones. This is accomplished with the latest routing technology and infrastructure designed to exceed the built-in limitations of BGP. All data that passes beyond eCharta’s firewalls is encrypted with 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. eCharta also uses the services of ScanAlert, an independent third party company that validates and certifies the security of our web hosting environment to meet the highest achievable standards possible. Our commitment to secure and reliable systems translates into piece-of-mind for our clients and digital document management solutions that produce results.
